Posted on Amazon Mark McClureVerified Dr. Grover Krantz Brings Science And Levity To The Study Of Sasquatch Dr. Grover Krantz was an inspiration for so many, especially the younger generation of scientists. His humor and levity balance out the staunch, by the book, scientific community. His openness to the possibility allowed him to disavow the naysayers and I can only be hopeful for a future of academics and citizen scientists to come together for the common goal of proving the species. This book is in my top 10 for anyone serious about the subject. It is also in my top 5 for anyone in opposition. This book should be required reading for any anthropology degree, any primatology degree, and any wildlife biology degree. To anyone picking up this title: ENJOY!Posted on Amazon ElliotVerified Good Good orderPosted on Amazon Matthew RiesVerified An Academic's Look at Sasquatch Considered one of the original “four horsemen” and the only one to have full academic qualifications, Dr. Grover S. Krantz is one of the most important figures in the search for a native North American ape. Bigfoot Sasquatch Evidence: The Anthropologist Speaks Out is Grover S. Krantz looking at the evidence he’s studied since 1965 to conclude that there is a nonhuman bipedal in North America.Originally published in 1992 and republished with an addendum in 1999, Krantz looked at the evidence supporting the existence of Sasquatch in the first two-thirds of the original book from looking at the footprint evidence and then analyzing the Patterson-Gimlin film subject and all the evidence pointing to its authenticity of a real animal. The final third of the original text was Krantz looking at evidence of other unknown bipedal animals from around the world and examining those researching Sasquatch. Three academic articles that Krantz wrote were added at the end of the original book followed by the 1999 addendum that Krantz addressed major and minor developments but doing so by following chapter title of the original edition and inserting information there thus giving these added pages a nice structure. Overall Krantz is an academic writer and while he gets the information across his style is boring—he is not a Jeff Meldrum, who is referenced a lot in the addendum, that can be academic for the general reader—however that doesn’t mean that the book is bad just not amazing.Bigfoot Sasquatch Evidence is an academic’s look into the possibility of a bipedal ape in North America, Dr. Grover S. Krantz is a thorough writer though very lively in his delivery.Posted on Amazon Kevin TaylorVerified Great book! Excellent examination of scientific evidence. Can get a bit dry but it's worth the time.Posted on Amazon JosephVerified Absolutely essential reading by Dr Krantz! Essential bigfoot/sasquatch reading! Dr Krantz boldly went where many men have not gone before to study the masters of our forests! Ordinary professors to this day are scared to study it for fear of ridicule! Herein is a great resource to review and contrast a multitude of evidence gathered in the mid to late 1900’s. Future researchers including myself often reference this book to build a stronger foundation in understanding this fascinating nocturnal hominid, which expertly evades human contact.Posted on Amazon loydaVerified One of the best books EVER written on Sasquatch This is required reading for anyone truly interested in Bigfoot / Sasquatch. Dr. Krantz was one of the first individuals in academia to actually take this subject seriously and his research & words still ring true. A true pioneer for fellow researchers and enthusiasts. Brilliantly written and easily one of the top three Bigfoot books ever written.Posted on Amazon MatizverdeVerified Superior reading Grover Krantz was a scientist so he applied his skills to the Sasquatch data. He did include a little opinion but 95% is a scientific look at the evidence including structure of the foot based on the castings made. That part had my eyes glaze over as he gets into so much detail but there are drawings showing what he is talking about so it helped a lot. Well written, punctuation was correct and grammar and phrases show he had a good editor. I recommend this book.Posted on Amazon Sarabeshwarar SubramaniyerVerified Master Class This book about the Sasquatch topic is complete. Long before Jeff Meldrum, there was another giant. Grover Krantz. This book is necessarily technical, but yet easier to understand for the layman than Jeff Meldrum’s works. I’d recommend it to anyone.Posted on Amazon BlairVerified Well written! Anything from the late great Dr. Grover S. Krantz is a must for Bigfoot reading 101.Posted on Amazon YBVerified The Bible of Squatching Matt Moneymaker of the Bigfoot Field Researcher's Organization calls Bigfoot Sasquatch Evidence "the master class." I completely agree with him on this one. Grover S. Krantz, in case you do not know, was a primatologist at Washington State University, who scientifically collected reports, casts of footprints and studied Bigfoot throughout much of his academic career and not always to his good academic fortune. Bigfoot Sasquatch Evidence is largely based upon his data except for a couple of chapters in the end of the book where he explains how he feels and really thinks about the Bigfoot Sasquatch world and those who seek it, hunt it and want to capitalize financially from it. The book can be a little dry, especially in the chapters when he describes and analyzes the footprint casts he has collected, which were the fundamental reasons he began to truly believe Bigfoot Sasquatch was out there. You won't learn anything about Bigfoot Habituation nor did Dr. Krantz's imagination run wild. The objective analysis and wise interpretation of what the evidence is and what it means in our lives is worth every penny and more. This book seems to be the besst scientific analysis of the Bigfoot phenomena on the market to date. If you are looking for proof and confirmation that Bigfoot is psychic and is seen with UFOs, this book is definitely not for you. In the end, Krantz comments that Bigfoot is not really all that big of a deal. He came to believe Bigfoot was really out there, but in the overall scheme of our lives, that Bigfoot was not really that big of a deal, that the craze for finding Bigfoot was largely fueled by a "lunatic, fringe element." Krantz's views on the hunters was equally interesting and poignant now that Bigfoot has reportedly been shot and killed by a Bigfoot Tracker, who can't seem to make it to the press conferences to reveal the beast he shot.
